Kameron Rodrigues

Kameron is an NSF fellow and PhD candidate in Computational and Systems Immunology. Co-advised by Siddhartha Jaiswal and Stephen Montgomery, Kameron studies how age-associated DNA mutations in bone marrow cause excess inflammation that worsen heart disease. He is interested in understanding how the development of complex diseases is influenced by the intersection of the immune system, genetics, and the environment. He was the founding president of Scientists Speak Up and leads volunteers globally in building Climate Mind, a web app and knowledge base for inspiring others to take climate action. Before Stanford, Kameron researched cancer and autoimmunity at the National Institutes of Health. He received his BS from the University of Arizona, double-majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology.
