Jamie Fine

Jamie M. Fine is a PhD candidate in Modern Thought & Literature and a Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies minor. Her research broadly investigates law in contemporary young adult literature and graphic narratives. As a former lawyer and educator, her interests focus on the connection between young adult literature, American culture, and the adolescent reader, engaging questions of gender, race, and class, amongst others. She received her BA from Wellesley College, her JD from the University of Connecticut, and her MFA from the City College of New York. At Stanford, she enjoys serving as the Graduate Student Council Humanities Representative and as an Academic Skills Coach, as well as assisting with programming at the Native American Cultural Center and the Humanities Center’s Arts & Justice Initiative.
