Neurosciences

Arielle Keller

I am a fourth year PhD candidate in Neurosciences working with Dr. Leanne Williams. My thesis is focused on investigating how the human brain allocates attention toward goal-relevant information, and how these processes can go awry in the context of mental illness. Prior to coming to Stanford, I completed a combined BS/MS degree in Neuroscience at Brandeis University, where I studied the neural correlates of visual and auditory attention in musicians and non-musicians with Dr. Robert Sekuler. Outside of research, I am co-president of a science communication group called NeuWrite West and enjoy volunteering with outreach organizations. I especially love teaching neuroscience at the middle school, high school, and college levels, and am always looking for new ways to integrate my interest in the neuroscience of attention with teaching practices in the classroom.
