Fall Career Fair

The Fall Fair is Stanford's largest Career Fair and serves as the primary recruiting event for employers seeking to increase their visibility on the Stanford Campus. This event attracts over 4,000 undergrad, graduate and alumni from all academic majors and degree levels including Science & Engineering, Humanities fields, Design, Medical Device, Consulting Management, and many more!The Fall Fair is held rain or shine in White Plaza and Old Union on the Stanford Campus. 

Health Careers Intensive (H&S Undergrads & Master's)

Apply now to BEAM’s upcoming Health Careers Intensive. This 5-week program is for Stanford juniors, seniors, and master's candidates within the Humanities & Sciences who are interested in a career focused on health. We'll come together as a group to learn about careers in health, meet alumni who successfully got jobs in the health industry, and complete critical job search tasks like polishing your resume, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles. Please note: This program takes a commitment to show up and contribute to the group for all 5 weeks.

Connect with a diverse group of graduate students to informally discuss "big questions" or learn about their research and hot topics in their field.

Over lunch at 12 PM or dinner at 4:30 PM or 6 PM, 12 students and a faculty or staff facilitator either choose complex, real-world questions to discuss over the course of multiple sessions, or, for those who choose the Outside the [Lunch] Box group, discuss their own research or a hot topic in their field.

Teaching Assistant Orientation 2017

VPTL will hold a Teaching Assistant (TA) Orientation Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, for all students who will be leading class sections and labs in the new academic year. Experienced TAs are welcome, too!  VPTL will also offer winter and spring TA orientations during week 1 of those quarters, with day and time to be announced.

The Liberal Arts Diversity Officers (LADO) is a consortium of chief diversity officers and faculty working to promote best practices and innovative strategies in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education. They are interested in diversifying faculty membership at their respective liberal arts institutions. Join LADO representatives to learn more about academic careers and how to prepare for faculty positions at liberal arts colleges.

Engaging Allies: The 2017 Sally Dickson Lecture on Diversity, Inclusion and Reflection

Tim Wise, nationally renowned essayist, author of several books including White Lies Matter and educator and a prominent voice on racism, inequality and white privilege, will be the keynote speaker for the 2017 Sally Dickson Lecture on Diversity, Inclusion and Reflection. The theme of the lecture is “Bridges Over Troubled Waters – Engaging Allies in Times of Crisis.”

The evening also will include a panel discussion and a post-event reception.
