Silicon Valley Energy Summit 2019

Silicon Valley Energy Summit is the premier annual event for people in Silicon Valley and beyond connected with sustainable energy. Participants gain insights on the latest energy technologies, corporate practices, market trends and emerging government policies. They interact with more than 400 other participants from the world’s largest IT companies, Silicon Valley startups, investment funds, utilities, government, environmental organizations and research institutions.

Diversity Works: Cultivating Opportunities for Working with Allies

Graduate students from diverse backgrounds interact with individuals who, while we may consider them as members of ally communities, do not consistently act as allies. Participants will discuss examples of this challenge and possible methods to responding in constructive ways. Interactive activities include role-plays, scenarios, and vignettes in which participants can learn how to model “in the moment” response strategies.

Stanford Gender, Equity, and Justice Summit

The Stanford Women’s Leadership Conference has been an incredible program for the WCC community for the past 13 years (for more information, see below). This academic year, in 2019, the WCC Staff are excited to announce that moving forward this program will be re-imagined into the Stanford Gender, Equity, and Justice Summit.
