Management Matters: Session 2

Management Matters is a comprehensive, three-session workshop focuses on simple principles and guidelines that, once learned, can make the process of managing others enjoyable and effective, and help you succeed in whatever career path you choose.

Session 2: Making Expectations Clear

Clear expectations are the basis for all effective management and, remarkably, are as crucial to managing “up” as to “down.” We will build on the first session to determine how to establish clear expectations with people of different styles and in different roles.

Management Matters: Application Deadline

Management Matters is a comprehensive, three-session workshop focuses on simple principles and guidelines that, once learned, can make the process of managing others enjoyable and effective, and help you succeed in whatever career path you choose.

Management Matters will take place on the following three Tuesdays: Jan. 30, Feb. 6, & Feb. 13 from 4:30 - 7 PM. Due to the workshop's interactive format, full participation in all three sessions is required.

Solo Success: How to Thrive in the Academy When You’re the Only ______ in Your Department

The Solo Success Workshop is specifically designed to address the unique concerns of underrepresented graduate students and postdoctoral scholars entering academia.

• Feeling overwhelmed by service requests related to diversity

This interactive workshop brings life to powerful new research of team dynamics, with a focus on building good relationships, enhancing trust and increasing accountability.

Open and relevant to graduate students at any stage in any discpline or degree. Space is limited. Due to the workshop's highly interactive format and limited spots, full participation is required. 

Women Leading with Influence: Session 2

In this highly interactive, two-day workshop, you will increase your self-awareness by understanding what limits women in attaining their pursuits and where blind spots may be sabotaging them. You will gain an understanding of how to effectively attain your goals and how to persuasively enroll others towards action.

Participation in both sessions is required. The workshop is highly experiential and participants are expected to be on time and prepared for each session.
