Management Matters: Application Deadline

Management Matters is a comprehensive, three-session workshop focuses on simple principles and guidelines that, once learned, can make the process of managing others enjoyable and effective, and help you succeed in whatever career path you choose.

Management Matters will take place on the following three Tuesdays: Jan. 30, Feb. 6, & Feb. 13 from 4:30 - 7 PM. Due to the workshop's interactive format, full participation in all three sessions is required.

SAVE THE DATE - Carillon Concert and Quiet Contemplation - Friday, November 3rd.

The Hoover carillon bells ring again this year to signal the university’s commitment to emotional well-being. All members of the Stanford community are encouraged to pause, reflect and take time to unwind. Gather in Dorhmann Grove, the Oval Ear and/or Meyer Green Lawn to share the concert and contemplative pause together as a community. You may also enjoy the experience by pausing wherever you are on or off campus. Concert by Stanford’s carillonneur Timothy Zerlang.

12@12 / 12@6: Deadline

Connect with a diverse group of graduate students to informally discuss "big questions" or learn about their research and hot topics in their field.

Over lunch at 12 PM or dinner at 4:30 PM or 6 PM, 12 students and a faculty or staff facilitator either choose complex, real-world questions to discuss over the course of multiple sessions, or, for those who choose the Outside the [Lunch] Box group, discuss their own research or a hot topic in their field.

The Art and Science of High Performance Teams: Deadline

This interactive workshop brings life to powerful new research of team dynamics, with a focus on building good relationships, enhancing trust and increasing accountability.

Open and relevant to graduate students at any stage in any discpline or degree. Space is limited. Due to the workshop's highly interactive format and limited spots, full participation is required. 

The Art of Inclusive Communication: Deadline

In this session, participants learn to acknowledge their cultural differences and, more importantly, learn how to find common ground with one another. Building upon their common humanity will enable participants to build more effective relationships in a respectful, inclusive environment.

Open and relevant to graduate students at any stage in any discpline or degree. Space is limited. Due to the workshop's highly interactive format and limited spots, full participation is required. 

Women Leading with Influence: Session 2

In this highly interactive, two-day workshop, you will increase your self-awareness by understanding what limits women in attaining their pursuits and where blind spots may be sabotaging them. You will gain an understanding of how to effectively attain your goals and how to persuasively enroll others towards action.

Participation in both sessions is required. The workshop is highly experiential and participants are expected to be on time and prepared for each session.
