Upstander Intervention

The SHARE Title IX Office collaborates with the Stanford community to stop, prevent, and remedy interpersonal violence and gender-based discrimination through education, culture change, accountability, and empowerment. From this office come these tips on how to be an upstander, which is anyone who makes the choice to intervene to try to make things better. Read this page to learn how to recognize daily acts of harm and learn how to intervene in a sustainable, intentional, and useful manner.
