If you are a scientist interested in finding new ways to do public outreach, check out this unique program hosted by the Office of Science Outreach. Science Teaching through Art (STAR) encourages the intersection of science and art by teaching Stanford researchers of all levels to use art and visual aids in communicating their work to a general audience. Through a series of interactive workshops, learn to present your work in relatable manners through the strategies of storytelling and design. Eventually, you will have the opportunity to practice your new skills by developing exhibitions for the local community. This program is a great opportunity to develop valuable skills in outreach and communication!
