Resource If you are a doctoral student engaged with research on women and/or gender, you may be eligible to apply for a Graduate Dissertation Fellowship (GDF) through the Clayman Institute for Gender Research. Several GDFs are awarded per academic year to outstanding doctoral students and include a stipend as well as research funding. The fellowship provides financial support to students as they complete their dissertations while also encouraging interdisciplinary connections. Resource In addition to dissertation fellowships, the Clayman Institute offers a number of opportunities to support graduate students working on gender or gender related topics. The three Clayman Institute prizes honor the next generation of gender research scholars and afford leading graduate students the opportunity to present their research in a number of forums. Some prizes require a faculty nomination.

Resource Stanford offers several programs and funding sources that support the university in achieving a diverse and successful graduate student body. As part of these diversity initiatives, the VPGE funds student-led projects that promote diversity, through the Student Projects for Intellectual Community Enhancement (SPICE), Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Funds (DIF), and Diversity Dissertation Research Opportunity (DDRO) programs. Additionally, the VPGE also offers competitive fellowships for students from diverse backgrounds.

Empathy is the foundation for a strong, human centered point of view, and a great design project demands a rich empathy experience. Useful for people engaged in class design or teaching, as well as those doing design or person centered research.
