About

Nowadays, increasing adoption of distributed energy resources (DERs), such as solar panels, electric vehicles, etc., brings uncertainty, variability, and complexity to electric power systems, leading to great challenges of system modeling, monitoring, and controlling. In my Ph.D. career, I aim to develop machine-learning-based methods for fine-grained modeling, accurate prediction, and intelligent control of different power system components. My research integrates knowledge in power system engineering, computer science, and economics. Comprehensive database, novel models, and algorithms developed through my work will benefit both industry and academic research of power systems. Some models developed for power systems can also contribute to the machine learning research in return.
