About

Thomas Keller is a PhD candidate in the Immunology program at Stanford University.  His dissertation work focuses on understanding how interactions between cells of the immune system and the skeletal system support the maintenance of both bone and blood. He uses high-throughput sequencing techniques with computational methods to characterize rare populations of cells and classic techniques in immunology and cell biology to understand how these populations interact with each other. Understanding the maintenance of these biological systems will be useful in understanding how we can circumvent osteoporosis and the decline of immune function with age.
