Priscilla San Juan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology (Ecology/Evolution). Her research investigates what shapes host-associated microbial communities, particularly in wildlife. She seeks to address how human influences on the environment affect animal health through the modification of the gut microbiome. Priscilla is dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion through her leadership roles in the department and School of Medicine, including her role in Stanford Hermanas in STEM. Priscilla earned her BA in Environmental Science at the University of California, Irvine.
