Nima Dahir

Nima Dahir is a PhD candidate in Sociology. Nima's main research interests are in the fields of urban sociology, race and ethnicity, immigration, and inequality. Her research examines various facets of neighborhood change, including the role of immigration, property ownership, and physical disorder. Her dissertation is an intersectional analysis of neighborhood effects, focusing on the relationship between space and intergenerational outcomes for Black immigrants. Nima holds a BA in mathematics and a BA in economics from the Ohio State University. In her free time, Nima enjoys listening to a large rotation of podcasts, running, and watching movies.
