Nicole Ersaro (Ferraro)

Nicole joined the Biomedical Informatics training program at Stanford as a PhD student in Fall 2016. She is currently advised by Prof. Stephen Montgomery and works on computational approaches to identify functional rare genetic variants. She also has a strong interest in science communication and has contributed to the science news podcast Goggles Optional since 2017 and is a writer for the American Society of Human Genetics trainee newsletter, The Nascent Transcript. She has experience teaching in several courses at Stanford, including Representations and Algorithms for Computational Molecular Biology and Introduction to R for Data Analysis.
