Maha Yusuf is a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University and a Schlumberger Faculty for the Future Fellow. Advised by Prof. Lambertus Hesselink, her thesis research focuses on using imaging diagnostic tools to investigate the failure mechanisms of lithium-ion batteries. Outside research, Maha serves as the CoPresident of Stanford Womxn in Electrical Engineering. Before Stanford, Maha worked as a drilling engineer on oil and gas rigs in the amazon rainforests of Colombia. She holds an MS in chemical engineering from Stanford and a BE from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan.
