Kyra Yap

Kyra Yap is a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering. Her research focuses on solar-driven electrochemistry for the reactions of CO2 reduction and hydrogen evolution. Specifically, she investigates the diurnal stability of solar-driven electrochemistry as well as the photocorrosion of photoelectrodes towards operation of these devices under real world irradiation conditions. Outside of research, Kyra is the program director of the Stanford Summit Tahoma Expeditions program and enjoys reading and writing books. She was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, and moved to New Jersey on an athletics scholarship to pursue her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University.
