Kengthsagn Louis
Kengthsagn is a PhD candidate in Social Psychology in the Mind & Body Lab. She broadly studies how self-presentation, health conceptualization, and culture impact behaviors, policies, and disparities. In one body of work, she investigates how patients’ self-presentation in medical interactions may inadvertently widen health disparities. In another line of work, she investigates whether the conceptualization of health as interdependent could counteract the deleterious effects of individualistic health explanations. Kengthsagn received her BA from Skidmore College in 2017. To relax, she enjoys doing Pilates, cooking, and reading.
