Kemi Oyewole
Kemi A. Oyewole is a PhD candidate in Education Policy and Organization Studies within the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Her research centers on understanding knowledge sharing and leader development for equitable school improvement. Kemi’s current work explores instructional coaches—experienced educators who provide ongoing teacher support like the coaching given to even the most elite athletes. Her dissertation uses a sociological lens to study the emergence of instructional coaching and the ways coaches use networked relationships to make sense of their role. Kemi’s scholarship is informed by teaching in Boston Public Schools and her commitment to community-embedded scholar-activism.
