About

Josselyn Peña earned her BS in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine and is a PhD candidate in the Immunology program at the School of Medicine. Her thesis focuses on the natural killer cell response to Epstein-Barr virus by taking an unbiased high dimensional approach and developing a system for characterizing activated natural killer cells to give more insight into the mechanism behind the response. Outside of the lab, Josselyn is also passionate about social justice and outreach for students from underrepresented backgrounds and has taken on various leadership roles through the Biomedical Association for the Interests of Minority Students (BioAIMS) and the Stanford Future Advancers of Science and Technology (FAST) program.
