Jarita Greyeyes

Jarita Greyeyes (she/her) is nēhiyaw of the Muskeg Lake and Red Pheasant bands of the Cree nation. She is a PhD candidate in the Race, Inequality and Language in the Graduate School of Education where she studies Indigenous academic leader contributions to indigenization processes in universities. Jarita was drawn to this research after leading indigenization efforts at the University of Winnipeg where she also completed her undergraduate training and after attending an Indigenous-led graduate program at the University of Victoria. She is an active contributor to the Stanford Native community and is committed to expanding pathways to higher education for Indigenous learners.
