Greses Pérez is a PhD candidate in Science Education and Learning Sciences at Stanford University. She holds a MEng and BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and INTEC, and a MEd from Southern Methodist University. Her research focuses on engineering and science education in multilingual contexts. She has served as a mentor at El Centro Chicano y Latino and through the Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education fellowship. She works towards improving science teaching through culturally relevant VR, and trains science teachers on sustainability on the Galapagos Islands. Before coming to Stanford, she was a bilingual educator, science mentor and engineer. Her life’s mission is to increase visibility of underrepresented minorities in engineering & science.
