About

Eva C. González Díaz is an NSF Fellow and Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education Fellow in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University. She received a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. As a PhD candidate, her research focuses on the development of tissue-engineered 3D in vitro models of primary and metastatic bone cancer for elucidating the role of the bone niche in promoting cancer progression. Such models can enable the identification of novel therapeutic targets within a more physiologicallyrelevant context and serve as high-throughput platforms for screening patient responses to drug therapies.
