Christopher Cameron is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University working under professor Thomas Kenny. His research focus is to improve the performance of MEMS devices that are used in inertial sensors. Specifically, he works on micro-scale gyroscopes and tethers for accelerometers. Outside of the lab, he has participated in various roles that pour into the community. He served as an Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education fellow and mentor, recruited tens of students to Stanford’s School of Engineering, worked as a graduate fellow in Toyon Hall undergraduate residence, served as president of Stanford’s Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA), and unofficially mentored dozens of students.
