Chris Clarke
Chris joined the VPGE team in November of 2012 where he directs the EDGE Doctoral Fellowship Program and works on special projects. He earned his PhD in higher education from Stanford as well as MA degrees in sociology and education. Chris' expertise covers key issues related to diversity in American higher education, including the impact of racial diversity, the organization of diversity, and the social-psychological processes that affect student performance. In his off-time you might find him performing music (usually salsa). Prior to graduate school and working in VPGE, Chris spent 12 years in student affairs at Stanford’s El Centro Chicano y Latino where he served as associate director.
