Chew Chai

Chew is a PhD candidate in Bioengineering, whose research focuses on understanding whole-body regeneration using functional genomics analysis in a variety of flatworms with varying degrees of regeneration as well as using planarian as a model system to understand physiological outcomes of parabiosis. In addition, she is also passionate about building low-cost tools to make disease diagnostic and science more accessible. Outside of research, she enjoys playing badminton, watching detective TV shows and trying out water sports.
