Chelsea Lide

Chelsea Lide is a PhD candidate in Organizational Behavior at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Chelsea’s dissertation examines second-order biases, or our beliefs about the biases of others, as one novel source of discrimination in organizations. Through this research, Chelsea investigates how we develop beliefs about others’ biases, and how these beliefs influence personnel decisions like hiring, promotion, and job assignment. Prior to joining Stanford, Chelsea received her BA in Cognitive Psychology and Linguistics from Harvard, and worked as a hiring program manager at Google. Outside of research, Chelsea enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring the natural beauty of California.
