Carolyn “C” Dundes

Carolyn (they/them) is a PhD candidate in Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine advised by Prof. Kyle Loh. Their research explores the cellular origins of the mammalian brain through studying the developmental steps of early brain precursors with human embryonic stem cells (in vitro) and mouse embryos (in vivo).  Prior to Stanford, they completed their undergraduate degree in Biology at Wesleyan University. Outside of the lab, Carolyn enjoys being on staff at Stanford’s Queer Student Resources community center, co-coordinating the Stanford Prison Education Project, and hanging out with as many dogs as possible.
