Camilo Espinosa Bernal
Camilo Espinosa Bernal is a PhD Candidate in the Immunology Program and an MS Candidate in the Computer Science Department. He is broadly interested in leveraging computational methods for improving human health, with a focus on translational opportunities in underserved communities. For his dissertation, he is using multiomics profiling and machine learning to improve our understanding of preterm birth and infant mortality in low- and middle-income countries. Camilo holds a BSc in Biology and Mathematics from MIT and an MPhil in Medical Science from the University of Cambridge. In his free time, he enjoys running, climbing, dancing, and reading.
