Aurora Alvarez-Buylla

I'm a 5th year PhD student in the Biology Department at Stanford studying how poison frogs are able to take up toxins from their diet to defend themselves against predators. After I (eventually) finish my PhD, I hope to be able to continue doing research while also expanding my teaching and mentorship abilities through a teaching-focused postdoctoral opportunity. Beyond my science life, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, cooking and eating, backpacking, watching tv, and picking up random hobbies!
