Ana De La Fuente Duran
Ana is a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering, previously funded by the Stanford Graduate Fellowship and the Ford Foundation Fellowship. Her research interests focus on understanding the fundamental properties of organic mixed conducting polymers that permit (or prevent) them to function as electrocatalysts in important electrochemical conversion reactions. With her work, hope to change the paradigm of electrochemical material design such that earth-abundant polymers can contribute to clean energy solutions. Ana is a graduate of Penn State University, where she received her BS in Materials Science and Engineering as part of the Millennium Scholars program. In her free time, Ana enjoys reading and writing stories, taking care of plants, playing board games, and hiking.
