Abraham Oshotse

Abraham Oshotse is a PhD candidate in Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business. Abraham’s research focuses on the cognitive factors and attributed qualities that demarcate cultural categories and groups. In one line of work, he studies cultural boundary marking and crossing among culturally distinct groups, using experimental approaches to understand the psychological mechanisms that prompt different types of affective responses. In another, he develops and applies a novel NLP technique to the identification of group demarcation in text communication. Prior to his PhD program, Abraham received a BS from Florida A&M University and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania.
