IDEAL Graduate Recruitment Faculty & Administrator Portal

Released in October 2020, the IDEAL Graduate Recruitment Portal is part of the Presidential IDEAL Initiative--which focuses on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in a Learning Environment across the entire campus community. The resources in this portal were developed by the IDEAL Graduate Recruitment Team, and they focus on empowering departments and programs to fulfill on the President and Provost's charge to improve diversity in graduate education. Resources include:

  • A structured planning process for graduate recruitment 
  • A dashboard of historical enrollment and admissions data at the department/program level, disaggregated by sex, race/ethnicity and domestic/international status
  • A curated collection of promising practices in use at Stanford and at peer institutions
  • A series of informational workshops to support local design and implementation
