Stanford Voices: Faculty Tea with Professor Guosong Hong at lagunita court

Monday, July 25, 2022 - 1:00pm

Join fellow Summer Session students as we chat with Professor Guosong Hong, Assistant Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. Students are encouraged to come prepared with question for Professor Hong!

Professor Hong's research aims to bridge materials science and neuroscience, and blur the distinction between the living and non-living worlds by developing novel neuroengineering tools to interrogate and manipulate the brain. Specifically, the Hong lab is currently developing ultrasound, infrared, and radio frequency-based in-vivo neural interfaces with minimal invasiveness, high spatiotemporal resolution, and cell-type specificity.

Stanford Voices introduces students to a variety of important faculty, lecturers, and alumni across campus. This series encourages students to participate in engaging dialogue with Stanford faculty about their academic journey, the process of research, the path to becoming a professor or academic, and intellectual life at Stanford.

Please note that pre-registration is encouraged, as capacity is very limited.

This event is open to Stanford Summer Session students. Masks are encouraged as this program is indoors.

If you need a disability-related accommodation or wheelchair access information, please contact the Diversity & Access Office at disability.access@stanford.edu. Requests should be made one week in advance of the event.
