Quick Bytes: Self-Compassion in Academia

Students listen to a presentation
Tuesday, April 7, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:15pm
Facilitated Remotely via Zoom

Struggle is part of the grad school experience. Difficult moments are part of the human experience. How we handle those difficult moments can be the difference between a downward spiral of isolation, and a confident step toward meaningful work. From this workshop, participants will learn what self-compassion is, current research addressing the ways self-compassion protects ambition, and gain tools for how to practice self-compassion.

Sarah Meyer Tapia, MA, associate director, Division of Health & Human Performance
