What do established leaders wish they knew when they were your age? At Connecting with Leaders, meet and learn from a panel of Stanford’s Distinguished Career Institute Fellows, individuals from all walks of life with inspiring and meaningful careers.
By attending this event, you will gain:
- connections with DCI Fellows through panel and informal discussions
- appreciation of different leadership styles
- understanding of different career paths and decision points
- insight into your own leadership style
VPGE and the Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI) are partnering to offer this Connecting with Leaders event for Stanford's graduate students. Stanford's DCI brings together established leaders from all walks of life who are eager to transform themselves for roles with social impact at the local, national, and global levels. During their year at Stanford, they engage in personal reflection and intellectual exploration, and form new and lasting communities and networks.
Connecting with Leaders events are designed to introduce and connect DCI Fellows with graduate students who wish to learn from these proven leaders. DCI Fellows will share the wisdom and insight they have gained from their highly successful careers, and offer guidance to graduate students as they develop their own career paths.
Each event will consist of a panel presentation to enable students to hear from several Fellows, followed by an reception with the opportunity for students and Fellows to network informally.
