The Markaz is thrilled to launch its first ever professional mentoring event. The Summit will strengthen professional networks among Stanford alumni and students who have family or professional connections with Muslim-majority countries. Bay Area alumni will discuss their career paths and offer advice to current students about finding work after graduation.
The event will feature five sessions, including a tech panel; a networking lunch session; and an afternoon panel covering careers in humanitarian work, government, public education, and academia. A breakout mentoring session will match alumni and students.
Guest speakers include CEO of Workfit Omar Tawakol, Nida Atshan of TechWadi, award-winning author Sumbul Ali-Karamali, and humanitarian response leader Elisabeth Kvitashvili.
