Bob Sutton is a professor of organizational psychology in the Department of Management Science & Engineering at Stanford. Sutton has been teaching classes on the psychology of business and management at Stanford since 1983. He is co-founder and former director of the Center for Work, Technology and Organization and co-founder of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d. school). Sutton studies innovation, leadership, the links between managerial knowledge and organization action, scaling excellence and workplace dynamics. He is a published author with New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestsellers. Sutton graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in psychology and from the University of Michigan with a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology.
