Communication Matters Workshops

Effective oral communication skills are essential to a successful academic career, and, certainly, the same is true for the role of communication in accomplished leadership. This series of workshops focuses both on improving the oral communication skills you have already begun to develop as scholars and teachers, and on adapting these skills to suit the variety of rhetorical situations you will inevitably encounter in your career—for instance, speaking to inspire institutional change, negotiate a job offer, or chair a difficult committee meeting.

The workshops will be facilitated by the staff of the Oral Communication Program at the Center for Teaching and Learning, and will combine interactive presentations, small group discussions, and experiential learning.

Dates and times are listed below. Individual session titles and locations are being determined and will be posted here soon.
