Events for Prospective Students

VPGE and Stanford's schools jointly sponsor two events for prospective students from diverse backgrounds to visit Stanford. These events showcase Stanford to students who will enhance the diversity of the graduate student population.

Stanford's network of Diversity Officers, representing the different schools within the university, can answer questions about these events, and about the graduate programs within their schools.

Faculty members may request up to $500 to defray the cost of bringing prospective graduate students for campus visits. Applicants may include students of an ethnicity that is underrepresented in an academic field; women who are underrepresented in a field; or people who would be the first members of their family to attend graduate school. G-RADD: Graduate Recruitment and Diversity Day

G-RADD is a preview day for selected admitted students and promising applicants from the schools of Humanities & Sciences, Engineering, and Earth Sciences to visit campus and decide if Stanford is right for them. March 5, 2010.

STANDOUT: Stanford Diversity Outreach for Doctoral Education

The STANDOUT program will not be offered in Fall 2009. We hope that STANDOUT will return in Fall 2010. If you are interested in future events like STANDOUT, and other information about applying to Stanford doctoral programs, sign up for the Stanford Doctoral Education Interest Database.

Recruitment Schedule

Stanford is represented at many graduate school fairs and other events. This is a great opportunity to talk with someone face-to-face about graduate studies at Stanford.
